When you drink this smoothie, you can almost feel it healing your gut lining all the way down. It is also very versatile, meaning that you can substitute other similar ingredients if you don’t have these exact ingredients.
Here are some notes:
- No kale? Use spinach instead.
- No honey? Use maple syrup, dates, or extra banana to sweeten instead. Or leave it out, if you prefer your smoothie less sweet.
- Like it creamier? Use almond milk instead of water for extra creaminess.
- Want to make it ahead of time? This smoothie stores well in a sealed mason jar for up to 2 days.
- 2 ½ cups water (cold)
- 2 cups kale leaves
- ½ avocado
- 1 banana (frozen)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 2 tbsps ground flaxseeds
- ¼ cup hemp seeds
- 2 tbsps raw honey
The Steps to Take
Step 1Place all ingredients in a high-powered blender and blend until smooth.
Pour into two glasses and enjoy with your partner or a friend. Alternatively, enjoy one now and save the other serving for tomorrow!
